Hello and welcome to my tree! My name is Laura Gupton and I am an avid genealogist and family historian. I have had a deep love for history for as long as I can remember. My mother instilled a love for genealogy into me. My tree is a work in progress, a labor of love, and at times a hair pulling experience! I love to find new information and find interesting stories of my heritage. Along my journey I have learned many things. It is absolutely mind blowing to discover my family.
I have come to the realization that I am related by blood or marriage to most Green and Taylor County natives! Both my Father's and Mother's lines were here in this country before it was a country. I have many ancestors that fought in every war, several Revolutionary War patriots. I have strived to ensure accuracy of my information, but as with anything, there are no doubt some errors. Family trees are always a work in progress. I am always willing to update and correct as necessary. If you see something incorrect, please bring it to my attention and I will make necessary changes. You may email me with any corrections, additions or suggestions.
I have written thus far four death record books encompassing Taylor, Green and Adair Counties as well as my current project of researching my Great Grandfather Samuel Miller's diaries. I have more death record books forthcoming as well as two more volumes of the diaries. All of my works are available on Amazon.com.
